P263 : Rare 4.4" club Antique Jaques Steinitz weighted Jaques Chess Set with original box and label
1870s set good patina, kings 11cms tall. White king stamped Jaques London on foot rim.
The laughing knights form of this period set is referred to as Steinitz, in relation to the first World Chess Champion Wilhelm Steinitz.
