In dark and light wood. Elaborate form, with pierced bases and upturned base decoration.
Note free moving balls inside the rook nests, a highlight. Pawns with fine urn tops.
Kings, queens and bishops with pained faces. Nice patina throughout. Kings 14.75cms.
Dating from the mid 19th century.
Comes in its original large slide lid pine box with part of original label
