P300: Late 18th Century Antique French Directoire Chess Set with original box

Natural fruitwood and stained, kings 8.7cms, note early form pawns and finely turned piece with good patina.
The stained pine box is very nice and has some writing in French on both the inside lid and is bottom, some refer to 86? 1786?
Any input would be very welcome.

Our friend and fellow collector Hans (The Beauty of Chess) did some amazing analysis of the image, below is his enhanced version below.

Antique French Directoire Chess Set Text

He thinks the address may be in Belgium, Rue de l'Harmonie 6, 4800 Verviers, Belgium

In addition Hans said : "My guess: 88 refers to the king size. 200= could mean 200.– so no cents And the letter could be an f (Belgian francs)"

Many thanks Hans for all your help on this.
