S165: Rare Antique Pulpit Bone Chess Set

Fine set with detailed carving and turning , circa 1800, king 11cms
The acanthus leaf decoration and overall form of these sets is very specific.
The exact origins of these sets is still not clear but the majority has turned up in the England, perhaps Napoleonic prisoners of war related.
