B57: Superior 17th century French boxboard

Fremch games box probably 17th century in ebony and natural. Finely made with geometric inlaid patterns.

Has survived in excellent condition for its age and testament to the master craftsmen who created it.

Early original iron hinges and lock. 82cms x 55cms x 4cms when open and has 4cms chessboard squares. Weight is ~6kgs
