B63: Fine Antique Killarney Chess Gamesbox
These Irish Killarney boards are rare and made of very desirable arbutus wood.
The wood has mellows beautifully over the centuries.
Early 19th century. With inlaid images of famous Ross Castle and Muckross Abbey in Killarney on the sides of the chessboard.
Measures 30cm x 39cm open with 4cms wide chessboard squares.
