B53: Early Antique German Augsburg Chessboard

Rare early Ausburg Gamesbox for chess on the top and merels on the back. The board is 46cms x 46cms x 7cms the squares are 4cms across.

Early 17th Century with elaborate scroll inlaid decoration including faces in profile. Has pull out drawer to hold the chess pieces.
